Cousins named starter; strong connection with Bowers; taking it one day at a time.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins was named the starter to begin training camp by Coach Klint Kubiak. Cousins played well during Thursday's practice, making a couple of big throws. His connection with tight end Brock Bowers has looked strong, and he connected with Bowers for a pair of touchdowns during Friday's red zone drills. The majority of his throws have been to Bowers or checkdowns. Cousins said 'You're only as good as your last throw [and] your last practice. You try to every day go out and earn that opportunity, and never take anything for granted.'
