Smith took on a much bigger role in the Rams' 2025 offense after serving as the primary punt returner for two seasons; over 233 receiver snaps, his stats were modest but he offered deep-threat value and averaged 17 yards per catch; he's a one-cut linear runner with stellar burst and long speed, shows good moves off the line, is fairly sharp and very quick in/out of breaks, doesn't fear the middle, and entered college as a walk-on before leaving with accolades including being a finalist for the Walter Payton Award.
