As a smaller receiver (5-foot-9, 171 pounds), he's unlikely to see a lot of red-zone work; he's been targeted just once inside the 15-yard line. The Steelers defense could also challenge Downs — it's been better in slot coverage than it has been on the outside.

Downs capped at WR3 with just one red-zone target and Steelers slot coverage strength.

Downs is a nice player who still might be working with a capped ceiling. As a smaller receiver (5-foot-9, 171 pounds), he's unlikely to see a lot of red-zone work; he's been targeted just once inside the 15-yard line. It was also frustrating to see Downs do little against a leaky Washington secondary last week. The Steelers defense could also challenge Downs—it's been better in slot coverage than it has been on the outside. Downs remains in the WR3 bucket: playable, but not a slam dunk.
