Bachman's 7.5-yard average is worse than Smith's; Rams still lack a competent returner.

Bachman replaced Xavier Smith as the Rams' punt returner after Smith's release and has been worse than Smith's already-mediocre production. In a head-to-head matchup against Philadelphia, Bachman had three opportunities and managed only a 7.5-yard average, contributing to the Rams' bottom-of-the-league special teams production.
