Yahoo Sports NFL on Treylon Burks

Burks positioned to step up with Diggs out; two TDs on limited targets show big-play potential.

Treylon Burks is positioned to become a prominent feature in the Commanders' offensive strategy with Stefon Diggs ruled out and Terry McLaurin not at full health. The source notes Burks 'always had the talent; consistency is the biggest stumbling block' and that he 'should get the first shot' at stepping up. Despite catching only three passes on six targets this season, two of those receptions went for touchdowns, making him 'a big-play waiting to happen.' The Commanders gave Burks a new one-year deal this offseason, signaling confidence in his ability to contribute.
