Yahoo Sports NFL on Fernando Mendoza

Mendoza's mobility and arm talent position him as Cousins' eventual replacement.

Mendoza brings more mobility and can open up the deep passing game more while being able to fit passes into tight windows more frequently; the source notes his leash on Kirk Cousins gets shorter after every week as Mendoza gets closer to being ready to play, suggesting the rookie's development trajectory could lead to a starting opportunity if Cousins has one bad game.
