Bachman's return game film underwhelming; Fassell questions upgrade over Smith.

Newly installed primary punt and kickoff returner for Rams after Xavier Smith was released; nine-year veteran with minimal return game experience (27 career punt returns, 22 last year with Las Vegas; eight kickoff returns). John Fassell grades his film from Week 5 Eagles game as leaving 'a lot to be desired' and questions whether the move represents an upgrade, noting Bachman 'does not have a history as a returner, nor is he known as an open-field runner' and his production was 'only mediocre.' Fassell characterizes the move as 'a lateral move, at best' given Bachman's lack of return pedigree despite fielding fair amount of kicks for Raiders last year.
