Hogs Haven on Austin Ekeler

Ekeler's return could spark run game and play-action for TE upside.

Running back's return could be a catalyst for improving Washington's ineffective run game, which has been a key factor in the Commanders' TE underutilization. The source suggests Ekeler running behind guard Sam Cosmi and newly appointed starting center Lucas Patrick could ignite the running game and allow offensive coordinator David Blough to utilize more play-action, which is critical to the success of tight ends like Ben Sinnott.
