Sean Payton might have thought he was sly, too, taking play-calling duties back from offensive coordinator Davis Webb in time for a matchup against the winless Chargers. So much for Payton looking like a hero for Bo Nix and Denver's offense. The Broncos produced only 224 yards of offense, 3.9 yards per play and 23 points. Nix logged a pitiful 123 passing yards at 4.6 yards per pass attempt. Denver is 3-2, but the offense is still a roaring dumpster fire.

Nix's 123 passing yards and 4.6 YPA in Week 5 keep Denver's offense a fantasy wasteland.

Despite Sean Payton taking back play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb ahead of a Week 5 matchup against the winless Chargers, the Broncos produced only 224 yards of offense, 3.9 yards per play and 23 points. Nix logged a pitiful 123 passing yards at 4.6 yards per pass attempt. Through Week 5, Nix has cleared 200 passing yards only twice and bested 225 yards only once this season, with multiple touchdown passes only once (two against the Rams at home in Week 3). Josh Shepardson characterizes Denver's offense as a roaring dumpster fire and states he can't even advocate kicking the tires on Nix's receivers as buy-low players.
