NFL.com News on Deebo Samuel

Samuel's hamstring injury forced Purdy to rely on Evans down the stretch.

Samuel suffered a hamstring injury on the drive following Purdy's third-quarter interception against Seattle, dropping to the turf and losing the ball in the process. The turnover set up a Seahawks field goal that extended their lead to five points. Samuel's injury left Evans as the only wide receiver who wasn't young, untested, or recently arrived, forcing Purdy to rely heavily on the veteran receiver for the remainder of the game.
