Brown's four-week TD drought and backfield split with Perine signal major disappointment.

Drafted as a mid-range RB1 after a fantastic finish last season, Brown has been a major disappointment, failing to find the end zone in four straight weeks while his rushing attempts have plummeted. Veteran Samaje Perine finished with more carries (14) and rushing yards (68) than Brown this past week, which is a concerning development. An improved defense has given Cincinnati the luxury of not needing to pass as often to stay competitive, but the opposite has happened for Brown—he has struggled to find running lanes when afforded opportunities and appears to be suffering from Saquon Barkley syndrome, trying to turn every carry into an 80-yard score.
