Ferguson's ineffective blocking and missed assignments compound his receiving issues.

Ferguson is not a strong blocker; his chip blocks are ineffective, and he routinely misses blocking assignments in the running game. The source notes there are increasingly more instances of Ferguson being tossed aside as a blocker, which is problematic given the Cowboys' investment in the position. If Ferguson cannot clean up his drops, fumbles, and blocking issues, the Cowboys might make changes in his responsibilities or role as the season progresses.
