Yahoo Sports NFL on J.K. Dobbins

Dobbins' carries jumped to 18 in Week 5; Payton's run-heavy scheme should continue.

Following Sean Payton's takeover of play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb, J.K. Dobbins saw a significant increase in carries in Week 5, receiving 18 carries after averaging just 11.5 in Weeks 1-4. The source expects this trend to continue in Week 6 against Seattle, as Payton emphasized the need to run the ball more and stick with the run game. The Seahawks' defense just allowed 4.8 yards per carry to the 49ers, setting up favorable conditions for increased Dobbins usage.
