Brown loses lead-back role in committee split; under-center advantage negated by scheme shift.

Brown received 13 carries in Week 5 as the Bengals moved to a full backfield committee, down from his prior lead role. While Brown holds advantages in both YPC (3.9 vs. 4.5) and YAC per carry (2.6 vs. 3.1) on under-center attempts compared to Perine, the Bengals' shift away from under-center runs and toward shotgun plays favors Perine's skill set, suggesting reduced opportunity for Brown going forward.
