Evans could have accepted a market value contract and finished his career in the same place it began: Tampa. Evans positioned as final missing piece in 49ers' Super Bowl-contending offense

Evans joined the 49ers as an integral piece of an already stacked offense featuring Brock Purdy at quarterback, Christian McCaffrey at running back, and George Kittle at tight end; the source describes him as 'the final missing piece' for San Francisco's Super Bowl ambitions, and he's proven himself as 'an essential member in San Francisco's offense' through five games.
