NBC Sports Rotoworld on Josh Downs

Declining despite Pierce's absence; defenses keying short-area looks.

Josh Downs is almost getting hurt by Alec Pierce's (heel, injured reserve) absence rather than taking advantage of it. There is no one to occupy attention down the field, and defenses are ready for Indy's Downs/Tyler Warren short-area looks. With bye weeks beginning, Downs' ranking should be accelerating instead of slowly declining.
