Yahoo Sports NFL on Rashid Shaheed

Shaheed's contract appears misaligned with offensive fit and special teams struggles.

Shaheed's contract looks like a disaster; he was a good player for New Orleans and valuable to Seattle's Super Bowl run primarily through special teams, but does not fit this offense and possibly not this quarterback. His 5-catch showing flatters him; his best play was a two-point conversion catch, but he also lost a fumble and had a dropped kickoff to start overtime that backed Seattle up to its 11-yard line. He has fumbled three kickoffs in five weeks. The source does not see how Shaheed sees out his contract with Seattle, calling it a miscalculated mismatch.
