Dalton cut by Eagles after interception; brief tenure as backup ended.

Andy Dalton was acquired by the Eagles from the Panthers as a potential QB2 behind Jalen Hurts but was demoted to QB3 after his sole passing attempt with the team was intercepted in the end zone during Week 3. He was subsequently cut by the Eagles. Bleeding Green Nation credits Dan Morgan (Panthers GM) with making a "great deal" in trading Dalton to Philadelphia.
