STACKED’s take
Bowers' three-game tear (24 catches, 312 yards, 3 TDs) targets vulnerable Bills coverage.
Bowers is the one player the Bills' back seven has the most reason to fear. Since returning from a meniscus procedure, he has 24 catches for 312 yards and three touchdowns in three games, with a touchdown in all three games and 100 yards in two of them, including eight catches on 10 targets for 110 yards in the 45-17 loss in New England. Jim Leonhard called Bowers a problem this week, and the whole plan for the Raiders' offense has to start with him. Buffalo has allowed 300 yards to tight ends in five games (10th-most in the NFL), and the Bills' back seven (Bernard, Williams, Gardner-Johnson, Bishop, Hamlin) has been shaky in coverage with communication issues that could be exploited.
