Fourth-string RB currently in starting role for Week 6 vs. Panthers. Article notes he made season debut vs. Jaguars with 14 yards on 11 carries. 26-year-old in fifth NFL season; 939 rushing yards as rookie with Texans, 759 yards on 210 carries in 31 appearances since. Pierce owners hopeful he maintains role; non-owners view him as temporary fill-in. One comment: 'As the new dameon Peirce owner I say he can take his time.' Another notes 'We haven't really seen a workload game from Pierce when we saw him last week it was after Shipley got hurt and the game was already bad.'
