Winston's two-interception performance against Saints opens door for McCarthy.

Winston struggled against his former Saints team in Week 6, completing 14 of 26 passes for 152 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions, both of which led to quick scoring drives for the Saints. Despite winning his first two starts as QB1, his poor performance triggered a quarterback controversy with backup J.J. McCarthy, who entered the game in the fourth quarter and excelled. Head coach John Harbaugh kept the door open on a possible benching ahead of Week 7 against the Houston Texans, stating he 'can't answer' who will start next week.
