Yahoo Sports NFL on Cam Skattebo

Skattebo benched all game for fumbles; source calls it excessive, costing Giants' run game against weak defense.

Skattebo was effectively benched for the entire game by head coach John Harbaugh as punishment for fumbling four times this season, including a costly fumble in Washington; the source criticizes this decision as excessive discipline, noting Skattebo is the Giants' best and lead running back and should have been reinserted after the first half or first quarter to give the offense a jolt. Skattebo played only six snaps and did not touch the ball once, limiting the Giants' rushing attack against one of the NFL's worst rushing defenses.
