Yahoo Sports NFL on Drake Maye

Maye frequently targeted Brown but struggled with timing; acknowledged shared responsibility for miscommunication.

Maye frequently targeted Brown as his first read despite the receiver's rust, but also had difficulty finding rhythm with him early in their reunion. Maye missed an open Brown on a quick slant on third-and-four that could have secured a first down, and also had a pass batted down by linebacker Demario Davis on another slant attempt. Maye acknowledged shared responsibility for the miscommunication, saying 'there's some [on] me and some plays he wishes he had back,' but committed to continuing to target Brown going forward.
