Winston threw two interceptions with the Giants already trailing by double digits. He did not put them in that hole. He simply wasn't up to the task of digging them out of it.

Winston's 2 INTs came with Giants trailing; loss not blamed on him.

Winston threw two interceptions with the Giants already trailing by double digits, but the source argues this loss cannot be blamed on him. Winston was not responsible for the embarrassingly bad running game, Jones' fumble, the lifeless third quarter, or the not-good-enough run defense; he simply wasn't up to the task of digging the Giants out of the hole they were already in.
