Yahoo Sports NFL on Daniel Jones

Jones retains starting job despite turnovers; Steichen confirms he's not at risk of benching.

Despite a turnover-filled performance and recent struggles, Colts HC Shane Steichen confirmed Jones will remain the starting quarterback moving forward. Jones went 22-of-42 for 269 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs in Sunday's 26-20 loss to Tennessee; he now has 5 interceptions to 3 touchdowns this season. Steichen acknowledged Jones needs to play better but stated "Yes, he is our starting quarterback," indicating no immediate benching despite the Colts' 2-4 record and second straight loss.
