Yahoo Sports NFL on Matthew Stafford

Stafford's 222 yards and three sacks signal offensive struggles despite preseason Super Bowl favorite status.

Stafford completed 25 of 33 passes for 222 yards in a 18-16 loss to Arizona; the Rams' offense, which entered as the league's most productive from a yardage standpoint, managed only a field goal and two touchdowns. Stafford was sacked three times and hit seven times as the Cardinals brought predictable pressure and blitzed.
