Simpson could see playing time as Rams consider benching Stafford in lost season.

With the Rams at 2-4 and the season fast becoming lost, the source suggests the team may be better served long term collecting information on Ty Simpson rather than continuing with Matthew Stafford. This implies Simpson could see playing time as the Rams shift focus from playoff contention to evaluating future quarterback options.
