Winston's inconsistent performance creates QB decision point for Harbaugh

Winston started Sunday's game but struggled with inconsistency. Harbaugh acknowledged his ups and downs: "He was up and down today for sure, but those things will all be decided not ten minutes after a game." The source notes that despite Winston's competitive spirit and effort, the Giants face a critical decision about whether to continue with him or turn to J.J. McCarthy, especially given McCarthy's strong relief performance. The source's own analysis suggests riding with Winston for one more week against Houston, with the bye week following to allow McCarthy additional preparation if needed.
