Winston's 2-1-1 record as starter faces challenge from McCarthy ahead of Week 7.

Winston is the incumbent starter with a 2-1-1 record through six weeks after taking over in Week 3 following Jaxson Dart's season-ending knee injury. He is competing with J.J. McCarthy for the Week 7 start vs. Houston, with Giants coach John Harbaugh saying the decision will be based on what gives the team the best chance to win, move the ball, score points, and protect the football.
