The Commanders blitzing basically every other down shouldn't be conflated with their ability to bring down the quarterback—Washington's sack percentage is 25th this year. Purdy has been tremendous at maneuvering in the pocket and running out of sacks all season.

Purdy excels vs. blitz; Commanders' 45% blitz rate ineffective (25th sacks).

Purdy faces a Commanders defense that blitzes 45% of the time, but Washington's sack percentage is 25th in the NFL, indicating their blitz pressure is not highly effective. Purdy has been tremendous at maneuvering in the pocket and running out of sacks all season, suggesting he should handle the blitz-heavy approach effectively.
