Purdy is playing very well for the 49ers, but he needs something at receiver given the team's significant injury crisis at the position with Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel Sr., and multiple receivers on injured reserve. The offense struggled in the second half Monday night with only 67 net yards, forcing Purdy to work with receivers who were nowhere near the team's original plans.
