Blue waived despite roster spot; Eagles didn't trust him for any snaps

Blue, a fifth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2025 NFL Draft, was signed to the Eagles' practice squad on the last day of August, then signed to the roster on Friday to be a third running back behind Pierce and Steele. However, even with Steele getting injured early, the Eagles did not trust Blue to play any snaps for them on offense or special teams, leading to his waiver release. He may be brought back on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
