Love leads league in big-time throws and 20+ yard attempts despite worst pass protection.

Love has the shortest time to throw in the NFL among 37 qualifying quarterbacks at 2.48 seconds, yet sports the sixth-highest average depth of target at 9.5 yards; leads the league in big-time throws (15) and passing attempts of 20+ yards downfield (33) through six weeks. Justis Mosqueda characterizes Love's performance as 'heroics'—he is willing the team to victory despite poor offensive line pass protection outside of Weeks 4-5, no running game, and leading the NFL in drops over this period. Love is taking a massive pounding week to week but playing at a high level.
