Remember the number 9.4. You'll likely hear it often throughout the week. It's Nix's air yards per attempt against the Cardinals. That's his highest mark of the season. First, on Nix's 12 intermediate throws, he only completed four. Second, Waddle, the guy nursing multiple injuries, made half of those catches. Denver faces the Chiefs again in Week 8 — the same team that left Waddle with a one-catch, two-yard stat line. Unless Nix can magically reconnect with his other receivers, expect a regression next Sunday.

Nix's intermediate passing success relied heavily on Waddle; expect regression vs. KC.

Nix posted 9.4 air yards per attempt against Arizona, his highest mark of the season, but completed only 4 of 12 intermediate throws (33.3%); when adjusted for opponent quality, the assessment of Nix attempting intermediate passes does not improve, and Jaylen Waddle made half of those completions, suggesting regression risk against Kansas City in Week 8.
