Kubiak confirms Cousins as QB1; no switch to Mendoza despite four-game losing streak.

Head coach Klint Kubiak confirmed Kirk Cousins as the Raiders' starting quarterback with no controversy, stating 'Kirk is our starting quarterback. There is no controversy there. He is playing at a very high level and he's gotta continue to do that for us to win.' This came after the Raiders' 35-21 loss to the Rams in Week 7, when Kubiak had briefly opened the door to considering personnel changes including a potential quarterback switch to No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza. Kubiak emphasized Cousins' role as team leader and the importance of clarity at the position.
