Gibbs believed Lions could convert the 4th-and-1; attributes failure to missed blocking assignment.

Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs was initially surprised by Campbell's fourth-and-1 call from the Lions' own 22-yard line but accepted the decision. On the play itself, Gibbs believed the Lions could have converted, attributing the failure to a potential missed blocking assignment: 'I mean, we could've gotten that. I think it was probably like a missed ID or something. Something probably happened -- something that's fixable. We just gotta go back and look at the tape; (we) easily could've got that. We're capable of it.' The Lions had converted eight of their 11 fourth-down attempts entering the game, suggesting Gibbs and the offense had confidence in their ability to execute short-yardage situations.
