Saquon Barkley suffered another injury in his first game back from a hamstring issue. The Eagles running back was in and out of Philadelphia's 38-21 loss to the Cowboys on "Monday Night Football" before the team announced in the fourth quarter that he was questionable to return due to a back injury.

Barkley suffered a compensatory back injury in his first game back from a hamstring issue in the Eagles' 38-21 loss to the Cowboys on Oct. 26, 2026. He tweaked his hamstring on his first run of the game (a 29-yard carry) and then sustained the back injury attempting to play through it. He was ruled questionable to return in the fourth quarter due to the back issue. Barkley finished with 62 yards on seven carries and one touchdown, playing sporadically in the first half and alternating time with Dameon Pierce before spending time in the medical tent. He told reporters: "I don't get it. I just have to find a way to get healthy. It's annoying. That's what I'm dealing with so far in the season." This marks his second injury in three weeks, having previously missed two games with a hamstring injury sustained on Oct. 4 against the Rams.
