From the video
Bijan Robinson I think had four or five carries at halftime. And just going into this one personally, I thought given the Penix rib injury and given the fact that the Bears at least on paper have one of the worst run defenses and front sevens in the NFL, I thought we'd see Bijan and Brian Robinson feasting. Obviously fell behind early and that had something to do with it.
STACKED’s take
Negative signalMatchup
Only 4-5 carries at halftime despite elite matchup; game script limited run volume.
Bijan Robinson had only four to five carries at halftime in a game that looked favorable on paper: the Bears have one of the worst run defenses and front sevens in the NFL, and Michael Penix was dealing with a rib injury. However, the Falcons fell behind early due to Zachariah Branch's two fumbles, which limited offensive opportunities and forced a pass-heavy game plan. Robinson's disappointing performance in a great matchup suggests game script and early deficit management constrained his usage.
