McConkey is a WR2-caliber receiver, not a true WR1, limiting Chargers' passing game ceiling.

Wide receiver is not a true WR1 despite being the Chargers' primary receiving option. McConkey was productive in his rookie year but is better suited as a WR2 running routes across the middle of the field, collecting easy yardage. The Chargers lack a legitimate dominant outside receiver to pair with him, which limits his ceiling and the overall passing game efficiency.
