Accuracy issues, poor decision-making, and being baited into strip-sack defined Mahomes' Seattle performance.

Mahomes struggled with accuracy and decision-making throughout the game. On one third-down play, he had time and room to step up in the pocket but his pass sailed wide and flew out of bounds. On another play, he failed to give a deep ball to Xavier Worthy much of a chance and tried to thread one to Kenneth Walker instead. Most critically, Mahomes was baited by cornerback Devon Weatherspoon stepping up on a mesh concept; expecting Weatherspoon to run with Worthy, Mahomes took off early and was blindsided by Derick Hall, resulting in a strip-sack. The source notes Mahomes was likely frustrated with his own throw on the early wasted opportunity.
