Blue signed from practice squad as Barkley's backup after Pierce's IR placement.

Blue was signed from the Eagles' practice squad to replace Pierce on the 53-man roster after Pierce was placed on IR. The former Cowboys fifth-round pick logged 129 yards and a touchdown on 38 carries as a rookie before being surprisingly released by Dallas ahead of his second season. Blue is now technically Barkley's backup on the Eagles' depth chart heading into Week 8, though it remains unclear whether he will get the bulk of the workload at the position.
