Young's stellar play couldn't sustain Panthers' contender buzz after Tampa loss.

Young's stellar early-season play had buoyed Carolina's contender status and generated significant buzz, but the Panthers' disastrous loss to Tampa Bay (1-5 Bucs) at home has evaporated that momentum and tanked the team's hard-earned reputation; the source notes zero faith in the team's depth at cornerback and guard going forward, suggesting Young's supporting cast and team trajectory have deteriorated.
