Mahomes' 58.3 rating and 165 yards mark historic lows; only second sub-3-point game of his Chiefs tenure.

Mahomes posted historically poor efficiency in the Chiefs' loss to Seattle: 165 passing yards on 19 of 33 attempts, 5.0 yards per attempt (fifth-lowest of his career), and a 58.3 passer rating. This marked only the second time Kansas City has scored three or fewer points with Mahomes at quarterback; the other instance was also in Week 7, 2021, a 27-3 loss to Tennessee. Kelce attributed the offensive struggles partly to receivers and tight ends not making reads easy for Mahomes to get the ball out on time, forcing the offensive line to strain beyond typical demands.
