Mason could be bell-cow if Jones (MCL sprain) sits; 60% of backfield carries.
Mason has an affordable salary and a path to DFS relevance if the game script goes Minnesota's way. Aaron Jones is dealing with a knee injury and didn't practice Wednesday; the Vikings rode him hard when Mason was on injured reserve, and Mason could be used as a bell-cow running back this week if Jones is out. Jones aggravated an MCL sprain last week, but Mason has handled 30 of Minnesota's backfield's 50 rush attempts (60%) in the two games both played together this year, and Mason was much better as a runner than Jones, with 127 rushing yards, 4.23 yards per carry and a 10.7% explosive run rate compared to 66, 3.30 and 5.3% for Jones.
