FantasyPros Articles on Rashee Rice
From the article
Speaking of Rashee Rice, the veteran has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 4. Hopefully, Rice can play on Sunday against the Broncos. Yet, fantasy players should temper their expectations if they are forced to start him. Rice hasn't lived up to expectations this season, averaging 3.3 receptions on 4.3 targets for 47.5 receiving yards and 9.5 PPR fantasy points before the hamstring injury, with single-digit totals in half the contests.
STACKED’s take
Rice's hamstring injury and poor Broncos history make him a risky start in Week 8.
Rashee Rice is a Week 8 landmine if he returns from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 4 (missed the past two games). Before the injury, he averaged 3.3 receptions on 4.3 targets for 47.5 receiving yards and 9.5 PPR fantasy points per game, with single-digit totals in half the contests. Rice has historically struggled against the Broncos, averaging four receptions on five targets for 46.3 receiving yards and 10.1 fantasy points per game in his career against Denver. In Week 1 against the Broncos, he caught only two passes for 19 receiving yards and 9.9 fantasy points despite scoring a touchdown. The Broncos have held wide receivers to 27.4 fantasy points per game (sixth-fewest in the NFL). Additionally, Pat Surtain II may return from an ankle injury, which would further limit Rice's production.
