Dameon Pierce looked better than he had in previous weeks, so of course he ended up going off injured. There was more purpose to some of his running, and the blocking gave him a chance.

Pierce showed improvement before injury; better run purpose and blocking

Dameon Pierce looked better than he had in previous weeks, showing more purpose to his running and benefiting from improved blocking. He created a strong edge run with Jordan Mailata creating a huge lane, demonstrating understanding of how Landon Dickerson would position himself to create the B-gap crease. Pierce's improved performance was cut short when he went off injured during the game.
