Yahoo Sports NFL on Bo Nix

Nix's 16.6 aDOT in empty sets masks poor completion rate outside them.

Nix showed aggressiveness as a passer, specifically in empty sets where he had a 16.6 aDOT on five attempts, leading to 94 yards. However, he completed just 13 passes on 30 dropbacks outside of those empty looks against the Cardinals, suggesting the box score was a lot better than the tape. Denver's pass rate has ticked back up, which is good to see.
