Williams' career-best 155 yards shows prove-it deal paying off after near retirement

Javonte Williams rejuvenated his career in 2025 with the Cowboys after nearly retiring; he considered hanging up the cleats before signing a prove-it deal with Dallas following injury and ineffectiveness struggles in his final three seasons with Denver. Williams delivered a career-best 155-yard rushing performance against Philadelphia, leading the Cowboys' 38-carry, 204-yard rushing attack; he was not tackled behind the line of scrimmage once due to strong offensive line and tight end blocking.
