From the article

Max Bredeson, a guy who Michigan sports fans are likely familiar with, has stepped into C.J. Ham's spot at fullback and been a very solid blocker thus far. He hasn't carried the ball or caught any passes yet, but that's not what the Vikings brought him in to do. They brought him in to clear paths in the run game, and he's done a very good job of that so far.

Positive signalRole

Bredeson solid blocker in Ham's fullback role; no carries or catches expected.

Max Bredeson has stepped into C.J. Ham's fullback role for the Vikings and has been a very solid blocker in his new position. He has not carried the ball or caught any passes, which aligns with the Vikings' intention to use him exclusively to clear paths in the run game. Bredeson has performed well in this limited, blocking-focused role.
