Arrowhead Pride on Josh Downs

Downs trade to Chiefs for fourth-rounder could unlock productivity.

The Athletic proposes Josh Downs as a trade deadline acquisition for the Chiefs at the cost of a fourth-round pick. The rationale is that the Seahawks' defense neutralized Kansas City's run game and none of the Chiefs' receivers could create separation against man coverage. Downs is positioned as the next-best option after George Pickens, with the source stating he 'could be significantly more productive in the Chiefs' offense,' implying he would be a strong value addition to address the team's receiver separation deficiency.
